57 Years and Counting!
Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!
57 years ago, it was a great declaration of joy that unfolded at the Merdeka Stadium, representing the freedom and hope of Malaysia and all Malaysians. But, after all these years, what does the word freedom mean?
Mardeka means to me, Malaysians, we can call ourselves one with our nation! Merdeka means peace and harmony. Malaysia is a multi-ethnic country with a rich cultural heritage. Ethnic, religious and cultural diversity is an important feature of our nation. Therefore, everything must be done so that the balance between development and progress is not disturbed! We can achieve national unity only by loving other races, religious beliefs and especially the country! :)
Speaking of Merdeka, there's the CelcomEscape contest where you want to share your version of Merdeka! Who knows... you might get lucky! All you have to do is create a short Merdeka or Malaysia love video, with something that celebrates and promotes any person, cause, belief or Malaysian tradition! And stand a chance to win RM157,000 in prizes!!!
How to enter:
As we practice love, we inevitably learn to embrace our rich diversity and strive for national unity. Love is being patient and kind. He is not jealous or arrogant. Love is not selfish or conceited. Love in this spiritual sense is to fully realize our purpose as Malaysians!

- Step 1 – Record a 3-minute video using any device. Don't forget to catch the spirit of Malaysia!
- Step 2 – Base your video on the theme song "Di Sini Lahirnya Sebuha Sinta" , the first line of Sudirman's "Warison " . All parts of the song must be included in your video.
- Step 3 - Submit your video via YouTube or DVD link by August 18, 2014.
