Places To Buy Your Baju Raya!

Do you already have Baju Rai girls? I can't believe it's almost heaven! Sorry for the lack of updates! :( I was really really tired this Ramadan. I used my free time this month to sleep, or pray/read the Quran, or watch the latest sad news... or uh... shopping in line.... eh. You know why I don't like shopping these days. Traffic jams. No parking. Queues. Walking for hours. So yes, shopping can be done in bed. .. because I'm too lazy. Ha-ha. Well, once my husband does. It's the first time we celebrate Raya together, so of course I'm excited! Finally I can wear Baju Kurung and Baju Melaya with my husband for Raya!Hehe.More..Why couldn't he take us to Jakarta and make my dress there made me shop online!Yeah!God bless him!lol ^__^

However, with Hari Raya just days away, you should be excited too! With Shawwal on us, I'm sure many of us will be busy cleaning the house, planning trips and of course finding the right outfit for the first day of court, right?

Jovian Mandaghi, Rizalman Ibrahim, Rico Rinaldi, Siamir Izwa, Jalia, Melinda Lui and Nurita Harith are my picks for this season. However, it is not for condemnation. Some of them are for upcoming events like weddings, dinners, events, etc. lol

Number one : Jalora
Well... To be honest, I had a bad experience with them, the first time I shopped with Zalora. It was almost a nightmare. However, the issue is now resolved and I have since made several transactions and purchases with them..and it has been great! Maybe I was unlucky that day. Zalora is really fun to buy! Their service is really good, I'm impressed! Ordered at 11 p.m., received my item the next day at 10 a.m.! How fast! And I returned a few things I don't like and I'll get my credit back within a day! Plus, they have so many brands, styles, and colors to choose from! I love Zalora now! Hehe (fuck them! LOL :p)


Number two: stylish waitresses
Shopping at Fashion Valet was great too! They have lots of lines from Malaysian/Asian designers like Melinda Lui, Nurita Harith, Khun Hui, Innai, Yadotsa, Pu3, Alia Bastamam and many more! But most of the vouchers are always out of stock! Teaspoon So if you like what you see don't put these on your wish list, you need to act fast and get them to your car! Personally, I like the collections of Nurita Harita and Alia Bastam. If you're looking for understated elegance, look no further than these two designers! I love Nurita ever since I wore my beautiful bachelorette dress she made! This Malaysian designer offers ready-to-wear and collections. Alia Bastamam's Raya 2014 line is pure feminine chic: chiffon and silk in soft tones that instantly make these garments classic! But perhaps my favorite Fashion Valet for Raya line is the Danish Nora collection because it's affordable and so cute! ;)


Number three: Mimpikita
An intimate boutique in Bangsar Telavi, Mimpikita offers a range of stylish baju from its own brand. Their beautifully finished fabrics are perfect for traditional occasions, but the contemporary cuts and colors give their line an on-trend appeal. You can also shop their collections online through Fashion Valet, but the designs are quite limited. So better visit their shop in Bangsar to get the best look!

Number four: Modwier Bangsar

Modvier is a concept store for young designers like Kree and 14 November Yuna. Expect to see around 30 brands strategically placed in this hipster-themed concept store. There are many options! Hijab, abaya, skirt, baju kurung and dresses? Modvier has them covered! Prices vary according to designers and brands, but for 40 Malachi you can buy a beautiful hijab!

Number Five: Other Online Stores

If you're patient and don't mind trying something before you buy, even if you're not familiar with the brand, you should shop at home! Forget the rush of driving through crowded malls and buy your Baju Raya with just one click! However, please note that delivery times vary, so order well in advance of the event. There are many online stores today. You can get your Baju Ray from Pop Look , Rakuten , Neel , Modish , Kriza and many more! They all sell different traditional dresses to complete your Raya look!


Number Six: Jackel, Gulatis, Harrison and others
If you are a fabric hunter like my mom, walking into a place like this is a real treat for you. He can stay up for 4 hours and get stuff! Well... it happened at my wedding last December ! Haha, luckily they have acid! Otherwise, shopping will not be such a pleasure for him! Haha however fabric stores like Jakel, Gulatis, Maya, Kamdar etc. at Jalan TAR they have a decent selection of baju raya fabrics. They offer a wide choice of materials! From cotton to viscose, silk to lace and more, you're sure to find something you'll love! Some of the stores I mentioned may have ready-to-wear collections for last-minute purchases!
