The Khatam Quran Ceremony

So the day before the wedding I read my Khatam Quran. In fact, we decided on this ceremony at the last minute! Heck, we always decide everything at the last minute! haha - Everyone seems very busy to work for the discussions so... it's usually a last minute plan! -__-

Anyway, 3-4 weeks before the wedding my mother finally decided to have this ceremony because there was not much to prepare and organize for this event. Specifically, there were only about six things to plan; Order food, sew a dress, hire a photographer and videographer, call the system administrator, and buy gifts for guests. That's all! Stuffed animals/stage, carpets, tents, tables etc. They were already prepared for the wedding. So it's handy to do two things at the same time as we only had to put in one effort for both events! So doing this ceremony in the Khatam Quran was like killing two birds with one stone! he had the same We set the date for December 13, 2013, Friday morning, one day before the wedding...

Here are the highlights/breakdowns of the event/Mejlis. Shot by a professional d&d videographer who previously worked at LH Media. I love your videos! (But the date on the video is wrong! haha. Anyway, he's already edited it and will give it to me soon. Thanks guys!)

Shida appeared first! She came over from Kertech (she works there now. Sobbing) and went straight to my room aka the bridal room and helped me get dressed! Thank you dear! The first thing he said when he walked into the room and saw me in white was “OH MY GOD! so excited... to see the white and all the decor and everything!" , and he hugged me and we broke up! The first person to hear from Hazeem when we started dating, oh my god I did missing myself would love to hang out but it's different now... everyone is busy with family, work and life :(

My makeup artist was my hands. ha ha I wanted Kak Vee Elfaiziens to be natural that day. But I couldn't convince him to make an appointment. Or any other MUA I like. The fact of the matter is that with weddings you need to book in advance if you want to reserve the date!

Mom checked her makeup. He told me to be all natural. he had the same...

Everything is ready! Does it come naturally to you? ha ha Sitting nervously in the room waiting for the ceremony to start.

Selfies with Shida of course too!

Vani with Vani, my cousin...lol. By the way, she was wearing a white dress/abaya by Radzuan Radziwill. I like the dress very much! Thank you for continuing to take my order even though my event is in 3 weeks! i will like it! I love the dress so much! I absolutely love my Nikah dress! - Mainly because of the cut. We'll come back to this part later! I'll talk about dresses in another post, yes...

Me and my aunts, Datin-datin... and Puan Sri, all from the An-Nisa community. All were purple, but the family was yellow. Yellow and purple are happy colors, aren't they?

Anyway, my mother suggested this Khatam Quran ceremony because at the wedding/majlis we would have a doa selamat and bakaan yasin session, so the bride would (honestly) like to complete it. Dua/prayer and recitation of the Khatam Quran. - Soft! Another reason for a white dress is the one that came to mind when she asked me about another pre-wedding event! laugh :p

"How's your Tajweed? Avak bole in the Quran, right? , he asked me that last time before deciding on the event.
-_______-'

I graduated from Islamic University, mother. Of course I can read the Koran. Tapi cuma tak sedap/tak berlagu laa.. hehe. By the way, my mother is the president of the An-Nisa Social Club. It's a sorority/organization/social club or whatever they call it. ha ha So a total of 100 members of An-Nisa team attended my Quran Khatam event which was held at my house, all in purple uniforms! Nice! ^__^

Everyone is sitting in the hallway waiting for the bride.

Well, for my non-Muslim/non-Malaysian readers, the Khatam Quran ceremony marks the end of the recitation of the holy book Al-Quran. It began with the recitation of the first Surah Al-Fatihah (Revelation) , followed by the recitation of the first five verses of Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow) and ended with the recitation ending with Surah An-Nas (The) . The Revealer ). People). Ustaza Puan Sri Latip and Ustaza Hajja Zania chaired the event.

After the khatama, a prayer is read and we treat guests to delicious dishes in honor of the soon-to-be-married woman. ;)

You liked the video, now let's enjoy the photos! Hafiz Ismail , my official wedding photographer, photo.

I was nervous... Two ustaza were looking at me! I hope my Tajweed is doing well.
y___o

This is my mother, President and Ustaz Hajja Zania

We begin the ceremony by reciting Surah Yasin followed by Berzikir/Berzanji/Marhaban.

I love how the beads sit snugly on the edge of my scarf. My scarf is heavy, but not too heavy for my taste. Something simple but elegant. Worth every penny spent! Well done! Thank you Razuan! ;)

"Mom... I'm very nervous. What if I misread the verses?

"Now it's too late to walk." He whispered...

GOOD

"Oh, no... well! Please don't be shy, Van ," I thought to myself.

"Bismillahhirrahmanirrahim"

It's very strange to hear your voice coming out of the speaker. I hate the microphone! Your voice sounds weird when you hear it through the speakers! haha

Ustaza Puan Sri Latipa looked at me.

Thank God I made very few mistakes! Teeeeee.. Otherwise it would be embarrassing! :P

I love seeing everyone in the room wearing the same shade of purple... and I'm the only one wearing white, I feel so special! he had the same

Dua / prayers of the bride..

Amen!

It's party time! Thank god it didn't rain. It was a beautiful sunny morning!
(Just so you know, we didn't set up the transparent tent for this majlis. It was for a party that was happening the next day.)

Each guest received this gorgeous Vanilla Lemon Topping Cupcake. I love the cute silver foil mug!

I ordered from the same Cake In Cups baker who made the Tiffany Box cake for my engagement and the door delivered sugar cookies and cupcakes.
They are delicious!

And by the way! Guests also received this magnificent Turkish Sejada/Prayer Rug!
If anyone would like to order one, please email! I know the seller! :)

While everyone was enjoying the meal, I sat on my pelamin trying to get in shape for my Akad Nikah the next day! The girl needs to practice! haha

"The girl... the princess has to sit properly, like an aunt." That's not a can! he had the same

With my sister in yellow, the color of my coat ;)

shameless
